ADDING EXTRA BAGGAGE.

Your baggage allowance is determined by the fare you choose when making your booking. If you need to add more baggage space for your travel buys, you can do so:

• Through Manage my Booking
• By adding extra baggage when making your booking
• By calling our Customer Support line on +356 21 356 000
• By visiting our Sales Office at Malta International Airport

The below flat rates apply when adding extra baggage (fees shown are in EUR/GBP/CHF):

*Limited availability per flight. Only available for Economy Sale, Economy Basic, and Economy Value ticket holders. Economy Plus ticket holders can buy priority boarding for only €5 to guarantee their hand luggage on board.

The above fees apply to KM Malta Airlines operated flights only. Fees are per one-way flight.

THINGS TO NOTE.

• Items of baggage weighing more than 32KG will not be accepted as cabin or checked baggage, and will need to be sent by Cargo. Please note that the maximum permitted weight per item of baggage can vary on flights with other airlines. Information about this can be obtained from the airline concerned.
• Make sure you have attached your name and contact to each item of baggage before checking it in at the airport. 
• Your baggage may show signs of wear and tear as a result of baggage handling. You are therefore advised to use baggage that is of suitable quality and durability to withstand such baggage handling processes. Read more about our policies on Damaged Baggage.

OVERWEIGHT BAGGAGE FEES

Please note that we only accept credit card payments for excess baggage at the boarding gate. Cash payments will only be allowed at the check-in gate.

 CABIN BAGGAGE (Small bag + Hand Luggage)

If your cabin baggage is over the weight or size limit, you will be asked to check it in and it will count towards your checked baggage allowance. If this exceeds your checked baggage allowance as per your fare, you will need to pay for extra baggage at the airport rate (fees shown are in EUR/GBP/CHF):

Economy Value passengers who do not check-in their 10KG checked baggage will be subject to a €25 fee at the boarding gate.

 CHECKED (HOLD) BAGGAGE

If your checked baggage weighs more than your fare allowance, then you will be charged extra at airport check-in. A €10 per KG (GBP/CHF) fee will be charged on baggage exceeding your entitled weight limit at check-in.

The maximum weight limit for checked baggage is 32kg. Items of baggage weighing more than 32kg will not be accepted as cabin or checked baggage, and will need to be sent by Cargo.
